Canadian Bankruptcy Search — Individuals & Businesses
Canadian bankruptcy and insolvency record searches for individuals and businesses.
This service can assist with background research, business due diligence and identifying recorded bankruptcy or proposal filings.
WHAT YOUR SEARCH MAY INCLUDE
When a matching record is located, the available information may include:
• Individual’s or business’s name as recorded
• Date of birth, where available for an individual
• Recorded address and province or territory
• Bankruptcy or insolvency estate number
• Type of proceeding, such as bankruptcy or proposal
• Date of the proceeding
• Reported total assets and liabilities
• First meeting of creditors, where recorded
• Discharge status and effective date, where recorded
• Court file number
• Appointed Licensed Insolvency Trustee or administrator’s name and contact information
• Trustee or administrator’s discharge date, where recorded
If no matching record is located, you are still charged for the search and you will receive confirmation that no match was found using the search criteria provided.
INFORMATION REQUIRED
For an individual:
• Full legal name
• Date of birth
• Previous names or aliases, if known
• Current or last known province or territory
• Approximate year of bankruptcy or consumer proposal, if known
For a business:
• Full legal business name
• Operating or previous business names, if known
Province or territory of registration
• Approximate year of the insolvency filing, if known
Results depend on the accuracy of the information supplied and the records available when searched. A similar name does not, by itself, confirm identity. A “no matching record” result does not guarantee that no insolvency history exists. We provide same day results to your email.
Additional searches or requests for underlying documents may incur extra charges, subject to your approval.
Taxes included.
