Summary Experience:

1996: Missing Person in British Columbia.
  • Retained by the father to locate his son who had been missing since June 1993. Our client suspected that he could be living in BC. His son had a mental health illness.
  • After filing a missing person’s report in B.C, numerous correspondence and many interviews with financial institutions, media, health care officials and police, he was found at a drop in centre in Nelson, B.C
1996: Adoption in Manitoba
  • We were retained to locate the biological parents & birth siblings. Our client was adopted in Manitoba in 1960. She wished to make contact with her biological family to learn of her background.
  • With her consent, we applied for the non-identifying characteristics with Child & Family Services. We obtained non identifying information about her family history.
  • We found her biological parents living in Transcona. She had two brothers. They were living in Winnipeg.
1999: Located the mother in Quebec
  • We were retained by the daughter to locate her elderly mother. She had not been in contact with her mother for years. She suspected her mother was living in Chicago.
  • The mother’s last known place of employer was interviewed but with no success;
  • We verified no death certificates were filed in the United States;
  • We discovered the mother was divorced in Quebec. She was alive and well in Quebec.
2001: Beneficiary of An Estate in Montreal Quebec.
  • We represented a major law firm required to find a beneficiary of an estate.
  • We located the beneficiary in Montreal, Quebec with only a name and approximate age.

2002: Witness in Africa:

  • We represented a major law firm requiring to locate a witness for a cross examination and the witness was found in Africa.
2003: Missing Person in Winnipeg
  • We represented the common-law spouse of a missing man from Scarborough, Ontario. He was suffering from depression. We found the spouse in a Winnipeg Hotel room within hours of our retainer.
2004: Missing Person in Ontario
  • We were retained by the mother to locate her daughter who went missing. The mother believed the daughter took off with her male friend. She knew the male friend was living somewhere in Ontario. We found the daughter in Allenford, Ontario.

2006: Child Support - Toronto, Ontario

  • We were retained on behalf of resident in Toronto, Ontario to locate her ex-spouse and determine his place of employment for court purposes;
  • Through public record sources we found him. He was employed at a hotel in Toronto, Ontario.
2007: Retained to locate brother in Ottawa
  • We were retained by a client in the United States to locate her brother in Ottawa. She had lost contact with him.
  • We interviewed the owners of his previous address, and it was established he had passed away.
  • We confirmed the location of the Funeral Chapel by the Statement of Death in Ottawa.
  • We learned the name of the Funeral Chapel and contacted them. They provided information about the death.
  • We requested and received a copy of the Death Certificate in Ontario to confirm his death.
  • We requested and received a copy of the autopsy report from the Coroner to learn the cause of his death.

2007: Missing daughter from Alberta: We were retained by the parents in Alberta to locate her daughter. She went missing in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We found the daughter living with her boyfriend.

2007: Retained by a corporation in Brandon Manitoba to locate witnesses in British Columbia: We found the witnesses all within one day.
